Meteor Garden
Meteor Garden is a 2001 Taiwanese Play starring Barbie Hsu, Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu and Ken Chu. It is based on Japanese sh?jo manga show, Boys Over Flowers, composed by Yoko Kamio. It directed by Cai Yuexun and was made by Comic Ritz International Production with Angie Chai as producer.
The show was broadcast in Taiwan on Chinese Television System that is freetoair in 12 April 2001 to 16 August 2001. A supplementary miniseries, Meteor Rain was stated in April 2001 and the sequel Meteor Garden II has been broadcast from 11 November 2002 to 25 December 2002. The show is the initial Live Action television adaptation of this manga, followed with its sequel Meteor Garden II and Japanese Hana Yori Dango, South Korean Boys and its own sequel Hana Yori Dango Returns Over Flowers.
At the series' close, F4 Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu and Ken Chu continued to carry out together and published three studio records as quartet boy group F4. They stopped the use of their name"F4" in 2007 at the objection of Japanese publisher Shueisha, who owns the copyright to Hana Yori Dango, in order to prevent any confusion with the Japanese and South Korean form of the LiveAction adaptations of their manga. The group has since been renamed"JVKV", from the first initial of their quartet in order of descending age.
