Summer of '67, based on true events, vividly depicts the chaotic 1960s and the challenges of men and women affected by the Vietnam War. While her husband Gerald (Cameron Gilliam) is gone aboard the USS Forrestal, Milly (Rachel Schrey), a young wife and mother, is forced to live with her mother-in-law. Kate (Bethany Davenport) is torn between her high school beau, Peter (Christopher Dalton), and her new hippy boyfriend, Van (Sam Brooks). Reggie (Jerrold Edwards) is Ruby Mae's (Sharonne Lanier) genuine love, but the draft takes him away. Each woman wonders if her guy will return, and if he does, will life ever be the same for them?
