F/X man Rollie Tyler is now a toy maker. His girl friend Kim's ex husband, mike, is actually just a cop. He asks Rollie to help capture a killer. The performance goes well until a man reaches Mike and the killer. The manager of mike, Silak says it was the killer who murdered Mike however Rollie knows it was not. Evidently, Silak is involved with Mike's departure, so he calls on Leo McCarthy, the cop by the last movie, who is presently a P.I., to get assistance and they find it's not only Silak they have to fret about.
