We learn that Lisa's father has a secret daughter from his first marriage after he is killed in a hit-and-run. Marie is a convicted murderer on the verge of being released from jail early, and she has only one goal in mind: vengeance. Marie has connived her way to living and working near to Lisa, lurking and plotting her vengeance as retribution for the life she feels she was robbed out of–a life she believes their father wrongly handed to Lisa.
