Knucklehead

When his brother goes missing, mentally challenged Langston Bellows (Gbenga Akinnagbe) is left alone in the housing complexes of Brooklyn. Langston must now take control of his own destiny after being abused by his mother (Alfre Woodard). He sets out to find the one doctor who he feels can help him, a famous magazine columnist who promotes dubious prescription medicine combinations. If Langston can become "mentally excellent," he'll be able to move into his own apartment with his girlfriend, who may or may not be a product of his wishful thinking. The search for his mysterious doctor and hero leads to some unwelcome findings as he lands in the shady world of pharmaceutical marketing. Langston aspires to be free of his previous existence, from his mother, his neighborhood, and his jumbled thoughts, despite the fact that everyone around him isn't who they appear to be.
