Gavagai

Carsten Neuer flies to Norway to finish his late wife's impossible translation of certain Norwegian poetry by Tarjei Vesaas into Chinese. He employs Niko, a down-on-his-luck tour guide, to take him to the poet's home and inspiration spots. On the journey, Carsten sees the ghost of his wife, while Niko deals with the unexpected implications of his girlfriend's pregnancy. Two very different men learn about the transformative power of love, the limitations of language, and the universal desire for friendship.
