A Real Vermeer

Talented and young Han van Meegeren can be a rebel in the Amsterdam art-scene of early 1920. Because he paints in the manner of his idols Rembrandt and Vermeer, critics find his job old-fashioned plus so they call him a copy cat. To prove some point, he produces a Vermeer and attempts to pass it off as an actual one. It works. Instead of hence embarrassing the art world and revealing the facts, he continues to earn money from his most forgeries. He could be caught in a web of deceit and lies, along with also his entire life spins out of control. Then one afternoon, high ranking Nazi Hermann Göring knocks on his door, searching for a Vermeer for his private group...
